    Not much...

    Kokane - Addictive Hip-Hop Muzick

    De La Soul Is Dead

    Operation: Doomsday

Bq- I would like to see more of this ---->:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al_TA3FZl2w

Basically less commercial stuff. Hip-Hop needs to get back to the basics. Just that raw street sh*t, no need for hot females in videos, switch cars, jewelry, and clothes every other scene. Dope beats, lyrics, and some dudes drinking 40's in your video is all you need lol.

This week, I've been listening to my most played songs off these albums:

    The Infamous

    Mind Over Matter

    Hip Hop is Dead

    The Main Ingredient

    Like Water For Chocolate

    Blazing Arrow

    Oneirology

    3 Feet High & Rising

    Word...Life

    Supreme Clientele

BQ: Important Subject Matter/Content, like Rappers spitting knowledge, wisdom etc.

    BQ2:

    AC/DC- Back In Black

    Metallica- Master of Puppets

Dead Kennedys- Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables

Mixtapes mostly, but here they are:

City of God by Fred The Godson (I recommend it if you haven't heard)

Dat Kid From Cleveland by Kid Cudi

    Dirty Sprite by Future

    Everybody's Nobody by XV

Licensed to Ill by Beastie Boys

    Liquid Swords by GZA

The Stoned Immaculate by Curren$y (Highly recommended)

    Streetz Calling by Future

The Swelly Express by Chiddy Bang

Lupe Fiasco's single and two songs Cameron the Pharoh were the only songs in rotation.

BQ: More creative sampling would be nice. I like it when a part of a song is sampled as a chorus or something rather than just being background.

BQ2: Of all time? Something like:

    The Wall by Pink Floyd

    London Calling by The Clash

    Hot Fuss by The Killers

    Triangulation Station - Opio

Can't Stop the Reign - Shaq

Words From the Genius - GZA

    Nehru Jackets - Heems

BQ: Rappers who don't have to act like they're crazy in order to gain attention.

BQ2: Superfly: The Original soundtrack - Curtis Mayfield

    Deja Entendu - Brand New

    Tommy - The Who

(just some of my favs, it's hard to pick an exact top 3)

A lot of Blu..Otherwise, Radiohead, Animal Collective, Smashing Pumpkins, Deerhunter, J Dilla, Red Hot Chili Peppers / John Frusciante. Saw the Chili Peppers live yesterday so I'll be listening to them a lot for a little while.

BQ: More creative rapping. I've just come to hear a lot of bland rapping it seems lately.

BQ2: Kid A by Radiohead, Pink Moon by Nick Drake, LSD and the Search for God by LSD and the Search for God (it's an EP but I love it so I feel like I have to include it). But if you're actually looking for a studio album, I guess Nevermind by Nirvana would be next.

    Hardly Human - Eightrack Mind

Standing in the Rain - Lawz Spoken

    Dirty Acres - Cunninlynguists

    NRHH:

    Marquee Moon - Televison

Appetite for Destruction - Guns n Roses

    The Resistance - Muse

^^^^ just albums I've been bumping. I have no idea what my top 3 NRHH albums are.

The stoned Immaculate - Curren$y (honestly album of the year imo)

Exalted- blue sky black death & nacho picasso (really solid cloud rap stuff)

From Day 1 - Travis Porter (good party/summer music)

The Art Dealer Chic series - Miguel (really good r&b)

bq- more producer-artist collabs. I hate when an album loses momentum because the tracks are produced by 12 different dudes.

bq2- Frank Ocean- Nostalgia, Ultra (2)

    Clams Casino Instrumentals Vol. 1

    WZRD- WZRD

    Drake - Take Care

    Lofty - Haunted Clothes

    Metro Zu - Mink Rug

    Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly

    Aphex Twin - Drukgz

BQ: More radical experimentation. I hate that there's this idea of what hip-hop should be when it's thinking like that that keeps hip-hop from evolving.

    BQ:

    Tom Waits - Blood Money

    Jay Reatard - Blood Visions

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92

  • As of late, i've been getting into Detroit based hip hop group Clear Soul Forces. These dudes are mad consistent. They got great production too, you can tell their producer has a good ear for beats and music in general.

Trial Track: Get No Better - Clear Soul Forces

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWKLuwR_bFw

Bq- I was thinking it would be dope to see more groups doing collabs together. For example, The Roots and A Tribe Called Quest, or Brown Bag Allstars and Wu-Tang.
