Got chEated out of my car, what can I do?
I bought a 98 Pontiac from this car place in geneva on Lyons rd in ny for 1550 which included tax and such. I was told the car needed nothing to be fixed. I went there on Tuesday when it was suppose to be ready but they didn't have it inspected and it was missing a part. They were suppose to deliver the car that night butthey kept putting it off because apparently their inspection guy didn't show up. I got my car today on Friday. Because of them I've missed work and had to pay for cabs to and from work. The transmission needs to be fixed and the check engine light is on. He brought it to me this way. Ad apparently only one windshield wiper works. Can I get my money back?? What dpi do?? I talked to the guy and he's pretty much like it's not my problem. What would you do??? And there's a couple "5star guarantee" sighns in their office. One even says "don't believe us? Well show you!" please help.

You want to waste hours of your time, contact the Better Business Bureau. They are a dinosaur of an organization, who will not help one bit. They will deliver your complaint to the dealer, nothing more. If the dealer responds, great... if not, great... either way, the BBB considers the matter closed and moves on. They cannot and will not force the dealer to do anything.
Any used vehicle purchase, in any state, is deemed "as is" unless noted in writing. You bought a 1998 model for $1500... you bought trouble.

I comprehend it's slightly past due now, however you will have to ALWAYS have a used vehicle looked at by means of a mechanic if you're now not very routinely willing. Quite commonly, a concern will expand instantly AFTER a sale, and an sincere individual could refund a minimum of a element of the money you paid.

Contact the Better Business Beauerau. Sometimes they can help ... perhaps even recommend another additional line of attack.
(Used car 'people' are about as low as u can get ... in general)!
Advice : Don't give up. Make it more than it is worth to cheat you!!!

Why did you buy a piece of junk? If you bought the car "as is/no warranty", then the dealer has no responsibility to you.
