English Freak! Question about indirect objects' rules?
When you write it down any sentence with indirect objects , so does the indirect object always connect with a few words like : give , show , tell , teach , buy, and send ... So , tell me is there any more words I should know?
I am just asking.
Thanks.

write (I wrote her an email)
lend (She lent me a book)
sing (I sang her a song)
make (she made me a cake)
There are a few more than can be (but usually aren't) used this way, "draw" for one, "call" (call me a taxi). One that comes to mind that people get wrong is "explain"--you can't say "He explained me his reasons" it's always "explained (something) TO me".
