what is difference among SD card, internal storage and phone memory?

i have xperia sola.. i have 5 gb of internal storage, 8 gb of external storage and 2 gb of phone memory.. i have transferred all of media files like songs,images,videos to 8 gb external card.. ani there are only few apps in 5 gb internal storage but when i look at the space only 0.91gb is free.. how come few apps occupy 3.98 gb?? :O m i missing something.. and how can i transfer apps from internal storage to external card

    SD Card is the external memory. And Internal memory is the build-in memory in your phone..!! Phone memory is the memory of the phone to install its components like the OS..!!

    As a normal rule if you happen to install apps to the SD Card it can save your inner telephone storage and is not going to have an effect on how they run, If it's a computer widget or a reside wallpaper, hold it on the internal storage or it will not work
