Lost boyfriend's expensive bracelet. Admit it or replace it?
Boyfriend bought 600 dollar bracelet for 1st year anniversary/birthday.
He's not rich, so this was a huge gift for him to me. He also has anger issues.
It's been maybe three months since I've lost it.
He hasn't asked about it. For now I'm just pretending that I'm keeping it safe in my drawer so that i DON'T lose it (even though i don't actually have it).
BUT I now have enough money to buy the exact same bracelet.
Should I buy the same 600 dollar bracelet to replace it so that he will never know what happened?
We are both only 18, if that matters.

Honesty is always the best policy. The problem is whether the bracelet itself means a lot to him as a symbol. Normally I would say, "Just admit it. Nobody's perfect." But said "anger issues." how bad will he flip out over this?
I might be willing to walk the fence on this one. Next time he comes to pick you up, you might make him wait a minute, then tell him it was because the bracelet wasn't where you thought it was. If he freaks, tell him to relax, you're sure you were Just looking int he wrong jewelry box. You can always get teary-eyed later and admit to having lost it, then tell him you'll replace it.
If he says, "It's just a bracelet," then it'll be easier to admit you lost it and tell him that you have every intention of replacing it because you know how hard he worked to get it for you.
Since he hasn't asked you why you haven't worn it in three months, I'm pretty sure that he'll be pretty calm about it.

Both, tell him you're sorry, and offer to replace it with an alternative, something similar or maybe the same bracelet.

I personally would go buy the knew one. But don't do that. It's a stupid thing to do :P Hahaha. Just tell him your extremely sorry and feel really bad about it, and that you're happy enough to go buy it again? Just don't do the stupid thing and not tell him. (:

Admit it. Eventually he'll find out, and that will make him lose trust toward you.
