What should I get Halo Reach or Halo Anniversary?

I'm already gonna get Halo 4 when it comes out but it's my birthday and my dad says I can get another Halo game. Can you also tell me why Halo Reach/Halo Anniversary is better.

If I were you, I would buy Halo Reach. Anniversary is good, but can not compare to Reach. Anniversary is just a remake of the first game with better (but not as good as Reach's) graphics. The campaign is repetitive, redundant, and overall not as enjoyable as Reach. Also, if you only buy Halo Anniversary, you are restricted in your multiplayer experience and you can only play a select number of playlists. On the other hand, Reach is very fun, I got it over a year ago, and I am still playing it avidly. The anniversary map pack is very good though. I suggest buying Halo Reach and the anniversary map pack. Anniversary just converts Halo: Combat Evolved into a semi-Reach like experience. Also don't worry about missing out on the story arc, Reach is a prequel to CE and takes place before any of the other Halo games.

I would actually say Halo Reach. This is because Reach is actually set before Halo Anniversary (The remake of Halo 1; Combat Evolved) so by playing this first, you would be able to follow the story in it's correct pattern if you were to later buy Halo Anniversary, Halo 2 etc. Also, Halo Reach has better multiplayer modes and is much more refined, and has firefight mode. The package will last much longer with Reach, due to it having forge mode, allowing you to create your own maps too, which I have spent countless hours on. So, buy Reach, and if you want more before Halo 4, then buy Anniversary and progress though. Hope this helps!

Get Reach...Anniversary is a remake of the first Halo and is nothing more than that game with HD graphics on the Reach engine. It uses the Reach multiplayer, but you only get to play on the Anniversary map pack, which isn't that great in all honesty. Reach would be a better buy since multiplayer is still very active and also has a great campaign.

I really didn't like Anniversary. Which is a shame because Halo Combat Evolved was my first ever FPS game. I would get reach because it has alot of fun online. Anniversary uses the same multiplayer system, but not the good multiplayer modes like Reach has.

Don't get Anniversary. You can just buy Halo one for like ten dollars or less. Get reach.
