Stressing over math question...please help?

In how many points does the graph of y = |x|-1 intersect the graph of x^2 + y^2 = 1?

    the correct answer is C: 2

    as you can see when drawing the graphs, there will be 3 common points.

    One of these points is (0,-1). the graphs don't intersect in this point but are tangent leaving 2 points where the graphs intersect
