A Samaritan is just a charitable or helpful person so in the modern day i don't think you could put a group, race or religion into that class. Anybody could be a Samaritan, but nowadays people have to work for a living, have worldly desires etc so there will be few people would devote there life in becoming a samaritan as to say.
