What kind of music do dogs enjoy?
Weird question, I know. However, I need some help. I have a 6 year old Male Shih Tzu named Ralphie. At night time, he likes to go from room to room trying to see which one has a comfortable space to sleep in. He's notorious for sleeping in closets and dark and tiny spaces similar to closets. He'll come into my room, but I like to keep my door closed at night time. It's something that has to be done. I want to find a way to keep my dog in my room at night time so I don't have to get up at like 3 am to let him out when he starts barking at the door. I sleep with music on, fairly low of course, because I have a weird noise that comes in my ear when it's too silent. It sounds like breathing or something....Anyways, that's irrelevant. What kind of music should I listen to that my dog would enjoy or find relaxing/sleep-inducing?
Please don't say things like Woofgang Mozart and things like that. It's a serious question.
Thank you for your time :3

My neighbors play classical music for their 2 male beagles when they leave the house. They seem to enjoy it....

This is funny because I looked into music therapy for my phobic dog. There have been studies done showing dogs become calm with classical music that is an octave lower and played slower than normal. And dogs played rock and roll, blues, etc are more likely to become hyper and nervous. (you can google "through the dog's ear" if interested) Anyway the music I like is contemporary christian like Casting Crowns and Toby Mac... but when I'm answering q's I usually have my radio on classical for my anxious dog. And ugh, sometimes the only station my radio gets is the family gospel station, and i get really pissed listening to these jerks talk about how people in Haiti were punished for their sins and the world is going to end may 21, 2011!!! This is bad when paired with me answering a BYB q. But having the radio on does help my dog, who is phobic with bugs and sounds like the wind blowing hard.
