are their any wizards in works of literature like gandalf?

I have recently been obsessed with the topic of wizards and I keep on thinking of the wizard gandalf and how cool he is. are their any other wizards that are wise and controlled like gantalf?

    While I would not say Dumbledore, (as Gandalf is a demi god and Dumbledore is a mortal man) I would agree with Merlin.
