I have a friend that was homeschooled and he seemed to fit along just well(:

I am also going in to eighth grade next year!(:

Anywhoo, here are some tips that helped him a little.

-The first few days he was quite and hardly talked to people, like any other new student. He eventually got a 'Group' where he could open up a little. So if you find yourself hanging out with others more than the rest, thats your group.

    -Be yourself

    -Crack a few jokes

-People are going to ask you questions, answer them in the least awkward way possible

To switch classes you either go at the bell or when the teacher dismisses you.(:

    I hoped this help/:

    Good luck!<3

I think your American, but although I am not, I am guessing 8th grade is year 8. Well, I am in year 9 so I have experienced going to a new school. The key thing to remember is that people are friendly as long as you are too. Treat people the way you would like to be treated. Just try and make conversation with people and at lunch ask to sit with a nice group of people that you may want to become friends with. They will understand as they know your new, so join in and have a laugh - don't worry if you embarrass yourself, just laugh it off and act natural...even if your freaking out inside! If you don't like a particular person, don't respond because that is what makes them want to annoy you more, so I would ignore them. If you find that some people you have been hanging around with that you don't like, just find some other people and remember, your not alone. Your dilemma has happened to a lot of people and there is always great teachers (no matter how bossy or how much homework they set you!), they are there to help. Also, if you get lost trying to find your way to the next class; politely ask someone. School is about learning, therefore, make sure that your not too distracted and uncomfortable because of the new environment your in. Anyway, hope it helps! By the way, the first impression you give, is usually the most important as that is what people remember about you. Good Luck! :) Just relax and DON'T get so nervous!
