Why does a lot of people hate on EA?

just recently, they screwed everyone in australia with their bf3 premium pack. it was listed across the board as 49.99, but that was actually only the pc price. therefore, 360 and ps3 users bought it, but later realized the had paid around 60 and 80 AUS dollars respectively. eventually, EA refunded 15 dollars back to the ps3 users, but refused any refunds to the 360 community. worst of all, they still aren't specifying the pricetags.

oh, and their games aren't that good.

NFS

Dragon Age

Battlefield

Most if not all EA Sports titles

I believe the reason people hate on EA is because their online servers break down more often than they should and it takes them forever (when compared to other developers) to get them back up.

Personally I like EA, I've had past issues with their games but nothing too serious for me to claim a hatred towards them.

EA is a company that steals ideas 24/7 my dad used to work for EA(he's now at rockstar but is working on Agent rather than gta 5 :( ) he said they just bribed other companies into having EA on the front of the box

I don't usually play EA games but when i do I play battlefield 3

EA love to force DRM technologies in games that cause a lot of issues for PC gamers.

EA also doesn't usually make impressive games. They are usually just average sports games etc... not very impressive in my opinion.

they are evil money whores, they are the simon Cowell of the gaming industry. they continuously make terrible games and they whore the **** out of their worst franchises. need for speed, fifa and tiger woods games are all getting worse and worse. they've pulled the plug on hundreds of brilliant development studios but they don't seem to do anything else that's even worth being proud of. they're terrible people and the only reason i buy their games is so i can play them and have even more reason to hate on them. i work in a game shop and i like to say im fairly big on video games. ea are one of the worst publishers. that is all.

EA has a tendency to make awful games. Of course, meow meow san is right, some games are good, but all in all, EA doesn't give a sh*t about making quality games, they only care about money.

Boys & Girls who hate EA, look, YOU MADE THE CONSCIOUS DECISION TO PLAY THEIR GAMES.

Simply put: NO ONE is forcing you to play their games. So why are you still playing their games if you hate them? I never get the mentality.

I personally have a long standing relationship with EA games. Some games suck, some games are good. I don't play the sucky games. I play the good games.

Is that so hard?

@Xoxin: EA has become primarily a game publisher. They outsource most of the development of their games to their various divisions and partners.

Because they have closed down one of the most tallented studios every to have graced the gaming industry, pandemic!

They are money whores, I know it sounds sad but I've spent over £200 on Fifa 12 Ultimate Team and not once got a good player, they'd do anything for an extra £2.79.
