What does a yellow diamond traffic sign with two black arrows pointing down and to the right and left mean?

I'm studying for a driving test. There's a sign on this worksheet that I don't recognize. It's a yellow diamond with two black arrows. The arrows start at the top center of the sign and go down and out diagonally. One arrow points down and to the left, and the other arrow points down and to the right. Does anyone know what this sign means? I'm taking the test tomorrow.

Thanks so much!

Hi- Being a company that manufactures traffic signs (Municipal Supply and Signs - http://municipalsigns.com/ ) this is relatively easy. And we hope you do well on your test.

Here's your answer: traffic is permitted to pass on either side of an obstruction in the road (e.g., island, gore in the roadway). Traffic separated by this sign may either rejoin or change directions.

I don't know what country you drive in, but usually a yellow diamond is a warning sign, and the black dots might either be a rough road ahead, or pavement ends, or perhaps a speed bump....?

I believe the sign would be on a meridian in the middle of the road and the arrows indicate that you can drive in the lane on either side of it.
