Do you guys think Reggie Bush's 1000 yard season was legit or a fluke?
I believe he can do it again, guys like Maurice Jones Drew, Ray Rice and Michael Turner are short backs and they have shown that you dont have to be big to have a 1000 yard season.

His problems haven't been due to a lack of talent. He came to the NFL trying to do the same thing as in college and it didn't work out.
He finally didn't seem afraid to get hit and he learned how to use his compact size and speed to squeeze among big defenders.

It wasnt a fluke, but he isnt a very good back. He is squeamish about contact and finds it difficult to cut into holes. He also isnt short, he's 6 foot tall, which is tall for a running back.
He doesnt have the elusiveness of the elite backs in the league and it was his 1st 1000 yard season in 5 years. Please remember that he was the 2nd overall pick, ahead of guys like Haloti Ngata.
He is however very nice in the passing game. He wont total 1000 yards because Daniel Thomas will be used on the first couple of downs and he'll be used on third downs or stretch runs to manage the clock.

Miami had an average QB so they gave more chance to rush and Probably Bush will run for more yards this year with a rockie QB like Tanenhill

Fluke. He is injury prone. He will get injured and be out 8 games this year. This is coming from a saints fan who did not like him when he was with the saints
