My boss is not paying up?

So this week I work 48 hours I'm on hourly pay! My boss says that is to much so they are going to put me on a weekly wage! I don't think she's gonna pay me for this week I recon my (wage) will be around 600 a week or something but if I get this instead of my hourly pay that would be over $800.. So I think I'm gonna get riped off around $200 or more. We only talked about this today?. CAN THEY DO THAT? :(

They can't change your rate of pay AFTER you work the hours. She owes you the hourly rate for 48 hours. If she wants to pay you a weekly amount, no matter how many hours you work, this is not a good deal for you.

Tell her you prefer to stay on the hourly rate. Weekly pay is to her advantage because she can work you as many hours as she wants for one lump sum amount of pay.

If she insists on the weekly pay option, ask her if it will be based on 40 hours, with extra pay for hours over 40 each week.

You should just go up to her and ask if she could pay hourly for what you worked. If the agreement to pay weekly was done after you worked 48 hours, then she cant pay you only $600.

My boss tried to rip me off by adding up the hours wrong, then I went the next day and showed her that she made a mistake. Its not being greedy, I know exactly how it feels to work you butt off and don't get paid for it. Just go tell her to explain, saying you dont get whats going on.

    Good Luck!

    Poster Jackie is correct.

But,,,,,,,your problem is not for the current week paid and owed, but for any FUTURE weeks. Since if you worked 48 hours and now she is putting you on weekly, then any given week you most likely will be working over 40 hours and get the same wage and losing money.

Suggest you find another job, since most likely this will be a recurring problem.

    good luck

Just get on the internet, look for different jobs. If you find one, QUIT THE ONE YOUR TAKING! But, if you couldn't, don't quit.
