Skyrush reviews about the lap bars?

I need REAL reviews of Skyrush at Hershey Park, PA. I have been looking at many terrible stories on the lap bars, and I want to know if you can talk the staff into making it a little looser? Are there parts in the ride train where it hurts less? Also, I am thirteen years old, so does anyone know if it would hurt less for someone my age? No exaggerations, please. Thanks so much.

I rode Skyrush yesterday and it's not the way the attendants lock you in that's the problem. The restraints get tighter and tighter as you ride and gravity helps this along as well. I found if you hold on to the lap bar and constantly push out (pushing yourself back against the seat) it will not tighten as much and it's a little more comfortable. We all have bruises across our thighs from the restraints today. It lays across your upper middle thigh in a very sensitive area. The ride is a very violent one though - and I consider myself a coaster enthusiast. Don't put your hands up on this one - you will be thrown from side to side while your lower body is stapled in very tight - which is why my back is killing me today. I rode 3 times trying different methods to endure the ride and I found the wing seats to be the most intense (not in a good way). Your age will have nothing to do with anything, except that you can probably take a little more jostling than us older people! (I'm 40). Have fun and hold on!

You can not convince the workers to make the bar looser. God forbid something were to happen to you because the worker make the lap bar looser for you. That worker would not only get fired but could also be the target of a horrible lawsuit. No worker would put themselves in a situation like that. You have to suffer with the tightness.
