Sugar cookie recipe without flour & shortening?

Seeing as flour and shortening are about all there is in sugar cookies aside from sugar, what do you imagine you would substitute for them? You can, in fact should, use butter in sugar cookies, but the flour is a different story. What you need is to make a different kind of cookie, or go get the ingredients for the ones you want to make. Since I don't know what ingredients you DO have, only what you don't have, I can't suggest any recipes. The only cookie-like recipes I know of that use no flour at all are some recipes for Scottish oatcakes.

No, there is no substitutes. You want cookies, go borrow the flour and the shortening, or go buy it.
