Okay...I say Pendragon Books, The Iron Thorn, if your a slow reader Percy Jackson, if you're good reader Christopher P.'s Eragon. Alex rider good, but you can tell the guy isn't using imagination as much as research (Alex takes out villains with bunch of types of attacks and weapons that everyone could learn about at good local library. Under no circumstances Narnia.

I like anything by Neal Shusterman (especially his novels Unwind and Bruiser) or Laurie Halse Anderson, so you could check some of their stuff out. The books will make you think, but they won't be too harsh to read (especially the books made by the former).

Condominium of night series via percentand Kristen forged notable books about teen fledglings (developing into vampires) who go to a college referred to as the condominium of night and need to face the evil of fallen angels and priestesses. Very funny, dramatic and a just right web page turner i might say you would like them due to the fact you learn twilight.

Try night terrors hallways and mirrors by rose golden  I love this book! I posted the back of the book below in case your interested! Happy reading!

I would wake up in the middle of the night; a cold sweat drenching my sheets, gasping for air, my hands racing defensively to my throat. In these brief moments that fallowed, I would always realize two things; one: it all had been a nightmare, a terrible nightmare, and two: the three figures standing at the foot of my bed hadn't disappeared with the scenery, they had fallowed me out. These figures, I knew them too well. Two were men silhouettes and one was female. It wasn't all to surprising how well I knew them, I saw them every night. I would always be running from them in a dark, eerie familiar place. But they would always reach me, pin me down, and begin to choke the life from me. Even after I woke, the pressure around my throat was real and would linger in bruises, and those figures would still be there, staring at me. Doctors called them night terrors. They said they weren't uncommon for children and young teenagers who had recently lost their parents. Only, these started the night of my sixteenth birthday, two weeks before their death.
