legs still prickly after shaving!!!?

Okay I have literally tried every thing but no matter what I do my legs are still prickly right after shaving. It never used to happen but lately I just can't get a clean shave and on the rare occasion I do it only last 12 hours. I have changed razors and tried different brands and price ranges. I also tried different soups, shaving creams, gels, and even hair condition. It was a little better with shaving cream and hair condition but not by much. I've tried both Veet and Nair and they don't remove my hair at all and make my skin burn. I haven't tried electric razors and I really can't afford laser removal or waxing.
