why aren't the Left 4 Dead games available for PS3?

it seems weird if you ask me, what is Valve thinking?

    Because the makers of the Left 4 Dead games have the exclusive distributing rights with Xbox. Not PS3.

    Valve had a deal with Microsoft, sadly L4D and L4D2 is not available on PS3.

    Well Gabe Newell himself said the PS3 was a failure at some point. I doubt that's the reason why, though. Pretty sure it has something to do with copyrights or something, as others have said.
