Insect identification: resembles a teeny tiny tarantula hawk?

I didn't get a picture, but this bug has been flying around my house and I've been eyeballing it trying to figure out what it is. It looks like a tarantula hawk, but much smaller and in the wrong climate. It's between one and two centimeters long with bright red wings, a black body, and an intimidating stinger. Located in Atlantic Canada.

in my view i might choose the teeny tiny bathing room as I spend the main time in my mattress room than the different room in the domicile. because it variety of feels maximum persons do (examine it in a mag). even with the undeniable fact that it relies upon on how lots you employ and fee the room your self. even nonetheless you detect neither residences suited you may desire to think of of the single you may cope with and stay in. desire you're you opt that's top for you!
