Im not a goth or an emo am I?

Sweet heart because nowanddays people have mis used the word emo. Emo started in the 80 s. N the purpose was it was for rock bands to express a type of singing that had alot of emotion. Some of it followed with dressing up with nerdy geeky clothes that fans interpret and started dressing themselves. In that time self harm wasnt a thing to do to be emo. So basically teens now think emo is listening to bands like falloutboy,mcr,bvb,panicatthedisco,paramore,etc. But thoes bands arent really emo.hope I helped :)

If you were goth or emo, you'd know. Goth and emo people go out of the way to look like that.

Let people say whatever they like. Who cares?

Be yourself - not a label.

Be an individual, be original!

Wear whatever you like and never be a fashion victim!

It just comes with the look. I get the same thing all the time.
