which plot is better?
14 Lilla is the only known human left. The rest are mutants but they look the same as humans except they are 10X Faster 10X stronger and pure evil. They all have a special power each.
Everyone thinks it just happened but Lilla knows better, this was no accident.
Lilla is on the run for the mutants and their leader Frank Calista, the most diabolical man you will ever encounter.
But they are stronger and faster, so she has to hide but it is not that easy.
The animals have mutated and again are savages.
But she wants to find out how they changed and if she can change everyone back.
But she has to keep safe.
On her journey she finds a man who is only slightly mutated, he still has human qualities and she finds a boy who is pure human but has been hiding in the deserted part of Palm Sands.
When Frank finds out there is more he scans everyone, once a week to see if they are still mutants.
The most dangerous mutants (which are teens because they have more weak bodies to let whatever is making them mutant get in) are after her, including Frank's son
Hayden, the daughter of the upstate guard (main one) works for the Highlander and protects her. When Calista (the highlander, which is like a princess) finds love with Aaron she wants to run away with him but one problem The Leasson is coming up. The Leasson is new because the different parts
One is for Brains, smart things.
One is for Buildings, and inventing.
One is for Peaceful, honesty and good things. Aaron
One is for Computers and basically technology.
One is for plain work.
And Calista is from a place where everyone is bad***
They are not getting along and only one can have power.
Considering the Up Highlanders are too old to do all of this the next oldest has to compete for their country and if you lose your family get thrown into the deserted part of the land called the Wasteland.
What you must do is show strength in all of these areas but by doing different tasks.
Agility
Strength
Brains
Building
And a simulator thing which shows different things about you.
And the finale task is to get the crown. In the dark.
At every task one will lose and at the end it will be two.
The tasks are like the ones in games shows, they have to find a key but there is different obstacles.
Callista asks her parents can she go with Aaron but no one can take her place. Hayden's father forces Hayden to take Callista's place.

As an older person I would have to say they are both unadulterated rubbish.
Why are young people so obsessed with stories that are so ludicrous they are effectively fairy stories, complete and utter fantasy, it leaves me lost for words. I see it must be coming from the childish games they play on the computer, but it has come to the point now when you can't watch a film with a car chase or any action scenes and enjoy it because it has been computer generated so far beyond the realms of possibility as to defeat the object of the thing.
There are any number of stories in the world that are based on truth, that are far more interesting and engrossing than any of this computer generated rubbish. Sadly I am basing my opinion on the rubbish my daughter is obsessed with, Hunger Games etc.
Harry Potter, for example.........opening scene..........three lines of dialogue........special effect scene where there is a lot of noise, shooting, flying and the death of one of the very minor characters....cut to....landing in another environment where the same process is repeated until you eventually get to the end of the film.
I imagine you may be a young person asking this question, so I would suggest you try to remain grounded in the real world and look for stories contained therein, they are invariably considerably more interesting. I hope this answer is of some help to you.

Combine them!!! XD make it start out as the first one then the story takes them back to medieval times which is when the second one takes place, or make the first one already be in medieval times. I like the second but if you wanna use the first, make the dude's machine that he uses to check everyone break or secretly be hacked to eventually give them the mutation in time or something...or make the dude secretly be working for the head mutated people to try and destroy all of humanity...don't just make it mutation, make it something Chuck Norris would wanna be in :D

I would definitely want to read the 1st one.......it sounds interesting, fast paced and really current with today's literature!
I want to read it.........NOW!!!
;D
As for the 2nd book, it doesn't really sound like my type of thing......if I were to pick it up in a book store, I would more than likely put it back on it's shelf.
(Doesn't mean you can't write both though!)
Edit: I have to disagree with your 1st answer!
That sounds like a reallllly bad idea......and once again, I'd probably put it back on it's shelf!
I suppose you can't please everyone though.
;-)
Now Joe - that was just bang out of order and uncalled for!
Judging by your photo, you are fairly old......so it would be fair to say that you are not into YOUNG ADULT books......since you are, after all.....an OLD adult!!!
Who are you to criticise!
How DARE you!
The person I feel sorry for is your 'so-called' daughter having a father like YOU!!!
Not everyone wants to read what you find interesting.....hence the phrase "each to their own"!!!
Next time, if you haven't got anything positive to comment.....then DON'T BOTHER!
YOU OLD FART!!!!!

Whatever you do, don't use the term Highlander. That's already a very well known thing from a series of films called HIGHLANDER.

The second one would probably be easier to write, but I think the first one sounds more interesting.
