Yahoo is bringing out a new rating system, as it is still a trial not all sites have it yet. The thumbs down facility has been withdrawn from the new rating system. I have to be honest and say that I am pleased that it will go as it was an abused facility on some good answers. Hopefully if the new system does come on to the site properly, bad answers/point gamers will be reported and we will be left with the good answers.

That is the new system which they are testing. Personally I do not like it as a totally incorrect answer cannot be TD'd. It also seems more like chat to me. The one option now is to report abuse if the answer justifies it.
