Quitting the army cadets?

I just told my DC that i was leaving, and as soon as I told here I started having second thoughts. My detatchment is really small and their are not enough people to properly function. Other detatchments are too far away or the cadets are not very nice. It began to feel like a chore just going to parade. But when I enjoy it like on camps in the field with rifles, I really enjoy it but this is very rare, in 1 and a half years I have only done this once. Can anyone give me helpful advice on leaving and if I should think about it some more?

You don't say how old you are, or how long you have been a cadet. With small remote detachments it can be a problem unless there is some type of joint training with other Units. Before you leave, just think how the Detachment would be if the few that keep it going also left. Then there would be nothing for any of you.

I'd think about it some more TBH. It might seem like a chore, but that'll be due to the amount of cadets there are there. There's only so much that can be done with few cadets. You should be going to annual soon anyway, shouldn't you?
