Does frying marbles leave bad effect on pan?

So I want to fry marbles to make jewelry cause I've seen the outcome and it's really pretty.

My dad is worried about it exploding, or ruining the pan.

For those who have done it before did it ruin the pan? Explode?

I haven't found anything about it and my dad's worried it'll ruin his pans.

Or would you recommend cooking them in the oven??

Any other tips and tricks? I get the basics on how to do it, but any tips would be great!

First, you put the marbles in the freezer for an hour or two. THEN you heat them quickly in a hot frying pan. It's the rapidly expanding glass that causes the lovely crackling you've seen. No, it never hurt our pans.

Do a few at a time, when they have cracked, pour them all out into a bowl of cold water. Don't keep them on the heat too long and they are fine. We never had one break into pieces.

Marbles are glass. You can't heat them hot enough on a stove to melt them.

They don't explode. If he's worried, wear a pair of goggles.
