Someone has taken charge of old, deactivated, sbcglobal.net e-mail address. Which is used way back before AT &?

Someone has taken charge of old, deactivated, sbcglobal.net e-mail address. Which I used way back before AT & T took over sbcglobal.net, I have electric confirmation, from yahoo, that the address has been deactivated?

I am receiving e-mails originating from this old deactivated e-mail address,, into my main account, and confirmation notices stating that “ my video has been approved and will be posted” onto You Tube….. This is Very upsetting,,

AT & T told me to speak with Norton security, and Norton referred me back to yahoo

How do I go back and re-deactivated the old account or reactivate it in order to re- deactivate it? Computer Nerds to the rescue! Please help!
