Lebron is the best player because....?

Now the commentators are like he's the best player because he got a ring and went thru so much ?cristism and got a ring? I don't get how he's the best player just because he was ONE ring... When other people went thru critism and got multiple rings...

Rings are a team achievement. LeBron contributed a lot to this championship. He can do anything he wants as we have seen in the finals. Pass, rebound, score, drive in, post up, etcc. That is complete dominance. He is an unselfish player that makes his teammates better, unlike Kobe, Melo, or Westbrook. Jordan is still the best player to play the game, although.

He's only 27, wait for him to retire and then ask these questions. He can still get multiple rings, even the 7 or 8 he said he would get.

Currently however, yes he is the best player in the world.

  • He was already the best player, but now that he has a finals MVP and a championship, plus the fact that he played well in the playoffs, it just strengthens his case for best player in the NBA today. Multiple rings argument counts towards lasting legacy, but not for the current time. Tim Duncan for example, is not the best big man in the NBA today, even though he won 4 championships.

Listen, lebron is a 6"9 guard who can not only score, pass, and post up, but is arguably the best passer in NBA next to Nash. We never seen a player in his caliber. Jordan couldn't defend, and Kobe neither as good. Lebron is THE best because of his complete package and unselfishness.

I agree with you 100%. It has been 9 years since he was the 'first round draft darling.' If I felt like doing the research, I'm confident that I could find AT LEAST 10 players who got better game in way, way less time.

    For example: Kevin Durant.
