monitor not turning on?

i had a old PC but i swapped a new GPU in it and a new PSU the computer starts the GPU spins PSU spins PSU cooler spins but my monitor is on but...... i cant see anything!! on my old computer there was nothing wrong i swapped the new GPU and it did turn on but i couldn't play battlefield 3 so i got a new PSU i connected everything but monitor is still of someone please help me!

    It sounds like the graphics card is not compatible with your system.

    Try to install another one or use the onboard.
