What is wrong with my games?
Okay I have Napoleon and Empire Total War. I've been playing them before on my computer but now every time I start a battle it's different colored shaped flashing all over the battle screen. I have no idea why this is happening as they have worked before on my computer. It completely renders these games unplayable and they were a good chunk of cash. I don't want to sit and play Rome and Medieval II Total War I want to play my brand new games so please help me fix this problem.
My laptop also has extreme heating/cooling problems. The regualr tempature in it is in the upwards of 60 degrees celsius
It also sort of does it for Mafia II I see large stretched images going across the screen some times. Like i'll see a huge stretched flower thats suppose to be small and on the ground. Or huge pieces of grass flying up from the ground.

Scratches on disks don't cause errors like that. What are you are seeing is called "artifacts". Clear graphical distortion and errors. They are usually caused by a malfunctioning video card, high temperatures or bad/corrupt driver files. You should try updating your video card's drivers first and check the temperatures as you play and the GPU is under heavy load - such as during a larger battle. If it's not overheating then it's likely that your video card is broken. This kind of thing is normally covered by the warranty you got (1-3 years usually) and it's not an uncommon issue.

If it happens on just one of the games, then it is probably a scratch on the disk and you should buy a new one. If it is on all the games, then it is probably something wrong with your computer. If however, they aren't physical disks and you are buying the games on steam or something similar, it is definitely something wrong with your computer.
