IS ALICE IN WONDERLAND ABOUT DRUGS?

OK so heres my theory, she gets high off the shrooms and starts thinking shes big and small and she starts seeing things that are quite odd...could this be true?!

    It was a tale to entertain a young girl and it had a lot of political satire.

    the author a famous mathematician and clergyman was addicted to opium as many were at that time so it is very trippy - But it is also following the pattern of a shamanic journey in that she goes down a hole and meets lots of animals
