Qualifications for UF, UCF, FSU, and USF?

GPA: 4.1 (weighted)

ACT: 22 (waiting for my last results soon)

SAT: 1540 (taking once more in Sep)

Extra-curriculars: Key Club (since freshman year - former Treasurer and now VP), Spanish Club (10th), NHS (10th-12th), FBLA (11th-12th), Junior Advisory Board (11th), Senior Advisory Board (12th), and Teen Advisory Board (at local library - hopefully attaining an officer position).

Community service hours: 300+

Classes in high school: Loads of AP/honors/dual enrollment

Misc: Top 10%, received multiple awards for numerous things, attended a leadership conference, played Powder Puff all 4 years, certified in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint, minority, and Florida resident

As a senior this fall, the pressure for college is coming. I understand my ACT/SAT scores are not high enough, but at this point, I can't really do anything about it. UF looks for a well-rounded student which gives me a little hope (dream school since middle school). Please let me know if I have a chance to get accepted by these 4 universities, and any personal experiences with applying/attending these colleges are appreciated :)

You should get into any of those schools if you get your SAT up to 1800.

Well, you're stats aren't all that bad, especially with the honors/AP classes on your record. I'd say you definitely have some chance of getting into any of your choices. That said, I'm a UF student now and I think I remember reading in the school newspaper where state budget cuts are forcing them to cap enrollment, which might make it harder to get in. Not sure if this applies to all FL schools--do some research. UF would likely be the hardest to get into, but then again I'm no expert. Definitely follow the other person's advice and visit your counselor. Best of luck though and hope you come to the Gator Nation!!!
