Seller of home is a real estate agent and did not disclose this fact until after a price had been negotiated?

This is in Texas so we need the law from that area. The buyer agent, seller agent and the owner of the house all work for the same real estate company. We always felt that the agent was not working in our favor and this late disclosure thing pops up. How does it get fixed? Are we owed monetary compensation?

    We don't have any details...

when did the seller provide you the disclosure paperwork?

what did the seller disclose tha tyou want compensation for?

If you don't think the buyers agent is working on your behalf, there is no much you can do about that. You are the one that hired the buyers agent.

The seller of the home being an agent does not need to be disclosed. The fact they all work together? Yes, needs to be disclosed. By "negotiated a price", do you mean you had a formal contract in place?

may all of them work for the same firm? Yes. Must YOUR agent

state verbally and in writing that he does work for the same firm

immediately on being hired? Yes. First step--contact his

    broker and ask "what's up?"

Prepare to find a new buyer's agent at a new RE office.
