What do this horse 'letters' mean?

Okay, on deviantart, there are these horse 'bloodlines'. They look like this.

Bloodlines:

------------------------------------------ SSS: unknown

----------------- SS: unknown

------------------------------------------ SSD: unknown

Sire: unknown

------------------------------------------ SDS: unknown

----------------- SD: unknown

------------------------------------------ SDD: unknown

------------------------------------------ DSS: unknown

----------------- DS: unknown

------------------------------------------ DSD: unknown

Dam: unknown

------------------------------------------ DSS: unknown

----------------- DD: unknown

------------------------------------------ DDD: unknown

Could someone please explain what this means? It's confusing. Hahah. Thanks!

Update:

No, I'm sorry I didn't clarify. There ARE actually bloodlines. I just put unknown to make it easier. I want to know what the letters (as in DD, DDD, DSS, DSD, DSS, SDD, and so on) mean.

    Sire = Father

    SS = Sire's Sire

    SSS = Sire's Sire's Sire

    SSD = Sire's Sire's Dam

    SD = Sire's Dam

    SDS = Sire's Dam's Sire

    SDD = Sire's Dam's Dam

    DSS = Dam's Sire's Sire

    DS = Dam's Sire

    DSD = Dam's Sire's Dam

    Dam = Mother

    DSS = Dam's Sire's Sire

    DD = Dam's Dam

    DDD = Dam's Dam's Dam

    D - Dam, S - Sire, so DD would be dam's dam, SS would be sire's sire, DSS = Dam's Sire's Sire, DSD = Dam's Sire's Dam, and so on. I don't know why they didn't just build a bloodline chart, instead of trying to spell everything out like that, wow.

    Ed to add: take a look on Allbreedpedigree.com for an example of a chart. If your horse is't there, you can use "Face This Investment" to take a look at it.

    unknown

    some stallion got with some mare made a baby and sold the baby without a birth certificate

    Yes, all would be some unknown bloodline, stock horse grade, mutt

    Not that its a bad thing, mutts make great horses

    Some of the best horses I have had were mutts

    Someone trying to pass this off as a family tree for sale purposes?

    If so, now that is a new one

    What is confusing about it? No bloodlines for the sire, No bloodlines for the Dam and no birth or death dates for any of them. It means the horse is a grade horse whose age and bloodlines were never kept up with, neither were his Sire's or Dam's. You see this a lot on Pinto papers. Sire is the Daddy, Dam is the mother.SS is the sires sire.SSS is the sires sires sire or sires grandfather. SD is Sires Dam. DS is the Dam's sire, DD is the Dam's Dam. Hope this clears it up for you.

    I think sire is something like father, and dam means mother - you're looking at a horse's family tree.
