Sponges in your filter will be a nitrate and phosphate factory so replace them every week. You will need a Refractometer don't buy a hydrometer as they are inaccurate.
If your mixing your water don't use tap water you will need an ro unit. Tap water should never be used In a marine tank, it's a big NO.
As for your lights I would get light that's sufficient for corals, as once you've bit the marine bug you will want coral as well lol.
If you've any questions I can help. Make a post or private message me on http://reefkeepers.co.uk/ (username: Ericsson)

Everything on your list sounds ok except you will need a Test kit to check Ph,Nitrate & Nitrites etc.The filter sounds large enough to give a good turnover of water, you may find you need a protein skimmer if you collect a lot of froth or scum on the top of the water.Good luck with it it can be time consuming but gives just rewards. (Is your base rock live rock?)
