How do I shutdown my computer (Ubuntu)?
Ok, so I updated my computer's software today, however, since I did that, I can't shutdown my computer. I go into the menu and into the settings, and my "shutdown" button has disappeared! I even tried searching "shutdown" in the "Home" search box, but instead of pulling up the shutdown button like it used to, it just says: "Sorry, there is nothing that matches your search." What do I do? Is there some way that I can make the shutdown button appear in the menu? Or is there some way that I can make it shutdown without having to hold down the power button? Is there a way I can shut it down using Terminal?

sudo shutdown -h now will shut it down.
If you can log off, you should be able to shutdown from there. You may need to make use of the gnome-tweak tool to get the power off options restored.
