Why do I prefer to eat with chopsticks?
Not only for Asian food but many cuisines actually seem to taste better to me with chopsticks. We're having grilled salmon and penne tonight with broccoli. For me there's no reason to use a fork and knife.
I've read that some people do this to show off but I do this at home.

Some things are just easier to eat with chopsticks rather than a knife and fork.

Personal preference. You DO realize that in Japan, they DO use SPOONS, FORKS and KNIVES just as you and I do, just less often! You can NOT slurp soup with chopsticks, no matter how hard you try... I've spent time in Japan, and I KNOW, from my own experience. So, if you PREFER chopsticks, then even at home, you are "showing off", only for yourself instead of others... And THAT in my book is simple arrogance... Why not use the right tool for the job? Sometimes a fork IS the right way to go! Even in Japan!

It's just your personal preference.like for example why some people prefer blue over green ,you just perfer chopsticks over silverwear
