A question about Dust 514 on the PS3?
If I get the mercenary pack on PSN, does that mean I can continue playing the beta after July 2nd? Also does it grant me the full game? I don't want to waste $20 if I can't even play the game for more than a few days.

You can play the beta with or without the pack, but only for a few days.
Currently is in beta, and is only available to play when the servers are up and that happens only for a few days, soon will be merged with the Tranquility server, which is the main server of EVE with the Capsuleers, for now CCP is testing the current server for a few days each week. They are tweaking and stressing the server with more players before they launch the game inside the Tranquility server.
Regarding the money.
$20 it equals to 4000 Aurum, so, you have in game currency in your account to buy stuff in the market.
For those without the beta, Is not necessary to buy the content to get access. You can register your account, it may take days or weeks to get access to the beta:

Not sure what happens after July 2nd? I bought access to the beta last night, as far as I know I'll get access until the full game releases, continue having access after that & get to keep the stuff I've earned.
Unfortunately I've not been able to access it yet, it tells me the servers are only up between 11:30 Friday & 11:00 Monday (GMT - UK time). If I'd realized would be the case I wouldn't have bothered getting it, I realize its only the beta but it seems a bit cheeky making people pay & then only giving then access for 3 days a week!!
