Should I buy Left 4 dead 2 on pc or xbox 360?

My PC should be able to handle the game with out much problems.

The reasons for xbox:

I can play with friends over live and on split screen co-op and I buy most games on xbox, so I'm more used to it

PC:

I hear that you can aim better, no paying for internet or Downloadable content, I can play with mods, and the steam softwear it runs on is great

Most of my friends play on Xbox 360, can I do a random online play with pc. Please provide valid reasons why I should go with one or the other, and if you ask I can answer any questions you have.

Update:

Only one or two of my friends still play on xbox live, the same amount that play it on steam, so I guess that can be taken out of the equation. One thing that I dont like is the fact I can not do split screen play with friends who come over. Also I am kinda curious to try playing a game on PC, because the only ones I have for PC are PC exclusive, so if I were to get it on PC, would this be a good game to start on for my first non-PC exclusive game, or would I be lost in the controls. Just thought I would add this in. Thank!

Genuinely I would always recommend the PC version, mods, custom campaigns ,free dlc, and free online being the big benefits over the a 360 copy. But in this case I would suggest you buy it for your Xbox 360 instead.

L4D2 is a very online oriented game that is best played with friends. And since you said most of your friends play on the 360, you would have a better experience if you stuck with the 360 version. You can play with random people on PC but as I said before, this game is best enjoyed with friends.

On the other hand if you have any friends on the PC, via Steam, then go for the PC version. If not, then as I said go with the 360 version.

You know there are Xbox 360 USB controllers for the PC as well for those who prefer console controllers over the mouse and keyboard. Although I would not recommend them as they can not match the speed and precision of the M&K.

The controls for Left 4 Dead are very simple, it's the usual set up for almost any other PC FPS game, it's just the WASD keys for movement and left mouse button for firing. Left 4 Dead is very easy to get into and has an easy learning curve, it's not a complex FPS simulator like say Arma where every key on the keyboard does something. That being said, then I would highly recommend the PC version instead since you said you have an equal amount of friends on Steam. I am sure you will enjoy the huge benefits it has over the 360 version such as free DLC, mods, and custom user made content.

And after a while and you still don't like having to use the Mouse and Keyboard, you can buy an xbox 360 controller for your PC as I have said above.

It really depends on what you want to do. If you are more used to Xbox, you may prefer the controller over a keyboard and mouse. You also have your friends to play with, and playing games with your friends is a lot more fun then playing on your own.

With PC you don't have to pay for internet, DLC, etc.

I would say Xbox, simply because you're more used to the controls and you have your friends to play with.

    PC:

    reasons:

    1. less immature nards cussing at you

    2. only pay for the game, all DLC that u have to buy on consoles is free on the PC on top of betas for new DLC which is also free

    3. mod servers allow new twists to enter the game with new stories or modes or different settings.

mods are for d i c k s who dont like playing the real way. They rather get the game done fast and fly through levels while other people take their time and explore the whole level
