EGR Position Sensor Should I still replace it?

So the Check Engine light turned on in my vehicle (06 Dodge Magnum SE) and the code was P0404 which turned out to be the EGR thing.. and so I got the replacement part and I HAVEN'T swap it out yet and now the check engine light is off... Should I still swap it?

scan for the code again. If the code doesn't appear then it would be okay to not replace. But since it came on, I would guess it is a pending problem. Although most of the time you can simply clean the EGR and not have to replace it.

Very high failure rate on the Chrysler part. The code will come back. Just swap in the new one and be done with it.
