I'm really scared of the dentist? ?
I'm really scared of the dentist I get so sad when I get there. When I walk in the building I get all shaky and I panick. Sometimes I even cry. And sometimes I wish it didn't exist but I know we need it. I just don't know how to overcome my fear. And the assistants don't even realize how scared I am. They always look mad and make the place even more scary. Sometimes when I say I don't like the dentist all they say is okay. Ad they don't let me have a chance to explain everything. Just writing this makes me cry :'( this is my phobia. And I shouldn't be worried cuz I brush and floss everyday but im still scared. when I sit in the chair I want to tell them how I feel but I know they won't listen or they will just tell me "it's going to be fine"
And i cant tell my mom because she will say the same thing "stop worrying" or "dont be such a scaredy cat" i would rather go to the doctors then here. Can anyone tell me how to not be scared please?

Hi!
I used to be the same exact way! I would worry weeks ahead of time; even before my next appointment, which was silly! These past few months, I have been to the Dentist many times to get fillings, root canals, crowns, etc... And, to be honest, it's not that bad at all! Now, when my appointments come, I actually look forward to going! As weird as this sounds, I enjoy getting my teeth worked on! lol. :) My next appointment is coming up in a few weeks actually! I'm excited! lol. :D
...But, if you are worried to this point, then I would suggest you ask them for 'laughing gas.' (If you are getting your teeth worked on.)
P.S. Hope I helped! I used to have a HUGE fear of going to the Dentist aswell. Now, I'm even looking into becoming a Dentist. :)

you should talk to your parents and your dentist also when your getting dental work done close your eyes so you don't see what they are doing to you.
