1997 Plymouth Voyager NO ground to the relay?
I changed the wiring harness and now the engine turns over but the relay for the coils are not grounding. Can any tell me what to look for? Is there a security system that might stop the wires from grounding at the power box. Thank you.

I just looked up that make/model/year, each engine or type listed and there isn't any coil relay according to autozone.com.Many relays are grounded via a negative signal coming from a comp and it's possible that the comp system isn't sending the negative signal due to a weak ground or faulty connection or the ECM may not be grounded properly.
That ECM if I recall right has at least two or 3 grounds going to different pins and also the mounting for the ECM is grounded via the frame/body metal and mounting screws. These grounds are all vital bec one or more of them will be used for the ground signals sent to different relays or sensors etc.
That harness you replaced sounds like the main harness that runs to the ECM,TCM and to the power distribution centre/box and fuse box inside the vehicle etc. This harness will have many ground wires running off of it at different locals and they are also vital in order for the circuits etc to work properly. Many of these ground wires are spliced together inside of the harness and it's quite common for these wires to rot/corroded internally and have bad corroded/rusted wire o-ring connectors and weak/bad ground junctions.
What I did when I last did one of those type of harness's is I cut the grounds way back on the harness, cleaned the old wiring, spliced/soldered and sealed a whole new set of ground wires with brand new o-ring wire connectors , then I cleaned/sanded the ground connections where they were suppose to mount to on the frame/chassis metal surfaces and I used brand new screws or bolts to reconnect the grounds.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if I were you I'd go over all the grounds running to that harness and the different ground locals, make sure that the o-ring connectors and surfaces are clean, plus use a a meter etc and test the grounds be sure that their all working/Note the most common issues I've seen when it comes to electrical issues is mostly bad grounds.Part Source and other part stores can print out free diagrams/schematics and ground local charts so check around and I even had dealership service departments print me out free diagrams so don't be shy to ask.

you've a wiring difficulty! Does this van have a trailer hitch? if so, the lighting fixtures furniture on the trailer it towed would were blowing fuses and the point rigidity replaced the fuses with larger amp fuses and overheated the wires. study wires coming off the headlamp replace for a threat overheating and sticking jointly. if so, you should ought to replace the total wiring harness interior the sprint. this happens quite plenty on circumvent pickup round that 12 months........in simple terms a idea. yet regardless, you do have a wiring difficulty !

Wow Tom you could be really screwed, BUT try this, find a shop that has Alldata and ask if you could get them to print out the ground locations in the engine bay and that should get you in the right direction
Good Luck
