When you pre-order a book, when will it usually be delivered?

It depends, you can go to the shop and pick it up on the actual day (It will be reserved for you) if you pre-order via the shop. If you are pre-ordering over the internet I recommend Amazon*, they will get it to you nice and quick, it will probably come pretty soon after the release date.

*I recommended Amazon because every time I've bought stuff via them, despite the fact that like almost every other company it is supposed to arrive within 3 to five working days, I often get it after less than that.

if you order from an actual book store (b&n, chapters, or whichever your local store is.) if it is preordered they WILL have it in your mailbox the day it comes out (unless you literally ordered it two days or the day before)

If its with amazon it will come 2 days after release date, if you paid delivery charges it will come on the release date.

I would imagine the day it comes out.
