Does yogurt make anyone else's mouth dry?
I rarely eat yogurt, and I've tried eating it recently due to the fact that I am pregnant. But the day I bought and ate two cups, I ended up waking up in the middle of the night because I had cotton mouth and I had it the next day or so. No matter how much water I drank, I still had a dry mouth. I haven't eaten yogurt since then but figured that was the cause. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, why does yogurt cause cotton mouth?
I meant to post this in the PREGNANCY category. Sorry. =/

No, yogurt is merely cultured milk. Your pregnancy may be causing problems with your blood sugar levels. Excessive thirst is a symptom of diabetes, so you should get a check up with your doctor to see if your symptoms need to be treated to prevent harm to you or your child due to an undiagosed illness.

I get cotton mouth from a lot of Greek yogurts--especially Yoplait Greek. The regular is fine.

Yes, every time I eat it and it doesn't matter what kind it is or what flavor. Greek and regular both do it. It's like eating grapes...they make my mouth dry too.
