What are some interesting books written in spanish?

For our summer reading in AP spanish, we need to read a novel in spanish that was orignally written by a spanish author, so it can't be a translation. As long as they arent super difficult it should be fine, but I'm not the best at spanish so nothing advanced please. Thanks!

There are a fe. one is called LOS DERROTADOS, by Cesart Andreu Iglesias and it's about Puerto Rico

Another that is easy and extremely interesting is called La Fiesta del Chivo by Mario Vargas Llosa. It's a novel about life in the Dominican Republic under the Dictator Trujillo, however it has or is being translated to English As recommended by another answerer La Casa de los Espiritus by the Chilean author Isabel Allende is also very good and easy to understand

    Hope this helps

Sin noticias de Gurb. Its written by a famous spanish writer, and its very interesting. It's not way too advanced, but you will probably have to look up some words, i had to.

I like Isabel Allende's books. She's like a lighter version of Gabriel Gárcia Márquez.

I loved "Paula", "La casa de los espíritus" and "La ciudad de las bestias".
