My window is stuck inside my car door!?

I own a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 sxi, 53 plate. When i put my window up a loud clunk suggested to me that the motor had fallen.

I have since been able to force the window most the way up, by removing the trim and wedging it up.

Any advice... is it worth going to vauxhall to get this repaired or to a local garage?

you may get a sparkling motor on line (examine with autozone for the section selection) or from autozone, the two way, you desire a sparkling motor. you have the door aside, thats 0.5 of it. From right here, you will have rivets holding interior the motor. Disconnect the motor twine, unbolt the window from the mounts and placed a screwdriver below it in an up place so it is out of your way. Drill out the rivets.... pull the motor and assembly (watch it, its spring loaded) do away with the completed element, put in the hot motor, get some locknut bolts with regard to the size of the rivets (except you have a rivet gun) and re-installation. It sounds plenty extra good than it is. Get the chilton handbook from the library for illistrations...

Any mobile glass company, such as Safelite (or your country's equivalent), can come to your car and repair the window. Or the dealer, either way... A body shop could fix it as well.

More than likely, the clamps which attach the window to the regulator, have lost their grip.

Yea that happened to me before, what your gonna wanna do is gently rub on the exhaust pipe until the window goes up, if that doesnt work try sticking your penis in the exhaust pipe :)
