When do you find out what grants you will recieve with financial aid?
I applied for financial aid on June 25th and I checked the website which said it was processed the next day. It still doesn't tell me what I will be eligible to receive when it comes to grants/loans. I was wondering, how long after the application is processed until I find out?
The sarcasm is not well received. I'm just asking a question because I'm so anxious to go back to school. I've never dealt with this before.
I just had a baby at the end of April and I wasn't sure if I would be ready to go back to school seeing as I want to spend time with my newborn son. I wish I filed earlier, but better late than never.

I assume you're talking about your FAFSA. You should have received an email with your SAR (Student Aid Report) within a few days of submitting your FAFSA online. If you haven't yet gotten it, check your email's bulk/spam folder. The Department of Education sends out so many SAR emails that spam filters accidentally pick them up sometimes.
The SAR only tells you if you're eligible for a Pell grant or other federal aid. Once you've submitted your FAFSA, the government is done with you until next year when you have to reapply. Financial aid is actually distributed by your college. When you are accepted for admission, the financial aid department takes over. They'll use your FAFSA information (I hope you remember to include your college on the application) to put together an award package for you. They'll send you a letter listing what and how much they're offering. This could take several weeks, as financial aid offices are super-busy this time of year.
Just so you know, June 25th is extremely late to be doing your FAFSA. The application was available online as early as January 1st, and most college priority deadlines are sometime in March. When I was in college, I made sure I had my FAFSA done by mid-February, as soon as I finished doing my taxes. The most and best aid goes to the students who planned carefully and followed instructions. You'll still get some aid, but not as much as you could have.
