My son was recommended to be tested for giftedness. He has had two tests, which the counselor I spoke with told me was all he would need for now. His last one was last week. I was wondering when I will find out the outcome if anyone knows? Also, the teacher that recommend for him to be tested said he could possibly skip an entire grade. This would put both of my sons in the same grade. Some people seem to think this could be a horrible idea... Any thoughts?

A loved one had a grade 2 astrocytoma and had "almost" all of it surgically removed. What happens now? Can it come back? Will he be okay?

I'm not the most social person around strangers but I'm very nice. I have a few close friends but keep it at that, never looking to make any new. Anyway I've been in college online for about a year now and in taking A&P I have to have a lab class... I'm hoping for some tips to help me. I'm sure there will be times we are going to need partners and I'd like to establish some form of relationship with a classmate early on to prevent it being awkward. My first class is Thursday... any good ways for me to pick someone or how to open up?

Is it sprained or broken?!?!?!?!?

I went to an urgent care dr. because I fell down some steps and hurt my foot. This was 3 days ago and they did xrays and said it was a sprain, they called back later after I had left and said I had a fracture in my cuboid bone and to see an ortho. Then I had more xrays done at another health facility (not ortho) where the PA said sprain as well but I insisted on still seeing an ortho so I went with ONLY the second set of scans where he said he saw no fracture. The PA said they send the xrays to another place and will get a report back tomorrow so now I'm seeing what they say. I'm so confused I don't know if I broke something or just sprained it and I'm scared to overdo it and hurt my foot more. The ortho did give me a boot but said I could put weight on my foot. The entire right side of my right foot and onto the top is swollen and bruised. It hurts and I can only wiggle my first 2-3 toes. Who is right? What should I do in terms of caring for my foot?

My grandma has stage 4 lung cancer and has been battling for almost 2 years with chemo. She was having chemo most recently every 3 weeks. She told us that the doctors decided to stop chemo. I don't know much, but I'm in the medical field & know enough to know that it's because the chemo is doing more harm than good. She has been getting very sick from the chemo. What happens now? What is her life expectancy? Do we just give up? My heart is breaking and I have so many unanswered questions :(

I applied for financial aid on June 25th and I checked the website which said it was processed the next day. It still doesn't tell me what I will be eligible to receive when it comes to grants/loans. I was wondering, how long after the application is processed until I find out?
