My interior lights in my car are barley on?
I have a 02 jeep liberty and I just changed my Interior lights to LED bulbs ( http://www.amazon.com/5-SMD-White-High-Power-Light... ) and when the car is on and all doors shut they dim down but they are still on. Why??? Even when my interior light switch is all the way off. i dont know what is up?

Barley is grain. What's going on with your lights? Your LED interior bulbs require so little amperage, they still work because the wiring to the bulbs is pulling minute amperage from a near-by HOT wire or the door switches are still leaking a slight amount amperage. This is why they're barely on.

Hi Josh, I don't know if this helps at all but I know that certain types of LED bulbs are - & + sensitive, what I mean is that with certain bulbs they will function incorrectly if they are put in the wrong way round (i've only ever known them to not work? not stay on)?
The interior light are operated with a permanent live & switched earth, either by the switch on the light itself or by a spring loaded switch on the door pillar (when the door is opened the spring forces a wire to contact the bodywork usually within the door pillar & when the door is closed it forces the spring closed and breaks the bodywork/earth contact?)
Lastly LED bulbs are only 3v (if memory serves me correctly) not 12v & in order to prevent the LED bulbs from blowing they have a small capacitor built into them to reduce the voltage to 3v, possibly the capacitor is retaining a charge (like a small battery) and allowing the bulbs to remain partially lit for a period of time?
I would be inclined to check for a incorrect earth connection personally
Anyway good luck & I hope this helps Leigh

There is a switch somewhere on the dash near the left hand side that allows you to turn the DASH LIGHTS ONLY to get brighter or dimmer by turning that dimmer switch left or right. it's normally marked dimmer switch. Find that switch and then at night turn on the cars lights then watch the dash light as you turn that switch get brighter or darker. set it where you like it to be. i like Mine almost all the way up.
Possibly by accident they got turned DOWN without knowing it.
hope this is what you're looking for.
good luck to ya.
