my pc (windows vista) showing shadow in each letters, objects in the screen.......hence the screen appears haz?

i m using a desktop pc of make: hp intel core 2. i use windows vista. last 4/5 days the letters/objects appeared in the screen are showing slight hazy......actually the letters/objects are appearing in the screen with a shadow.......

    What type of screen?

    what type of cable?

    what screen settings eg 1280x1024 @60hz?

    have you tried setting CLEARTYPE options?

    Check out the VGA cable, it might get damaged

    Or

    Video Card's software isn't installed properly.
